A strategic, customer-focused and transformational executive leader, I am the Chief Customer Officer with Watercare, leading strategy that embeds customer-centric behaviour and ensures the delivery of critical services to the people of Auckland. With a team of around 300 I am championing a way of thinking that places the customer at the centre of everything we do and ensures the Watercare brand is known for outstanding service delivery and responsiveness to our customers.
I have a genuine commitment to the brand and culture of Watercare, where I lead a diverse and high-performing team that is not afraid to challenge the norm, to create services and efficiencies that are future-focused and respond to the changing needs of the Auckland region with agility and speed. Watercare provides the people of Auckland with an Aa-grade water that is safe, reliable and sustainable, together with wastewater services that are efficient and effective.
My earlier career spans Director and Executive roles with international organisations both in New Zealand and South Africa, where I have had responsibility for managing multi-million-dollar P&Ls, developing innovative strategy to launch new initiatives and businesses, shaping governance structure for listed organisations as well as developing marketing and brand plans that created market leaders. I have worked for well-known New Zealand brands including Genesis and Vodafone, in addition to co-founding start-ups and working within consultancies.
My expertise spans customer experience, strategic brand marketing and reputation management, corporate communications, media relations and corporate strategy development. I have held Board appointments, for both listed companies and not-for-profits and have recently taken up a Trustee position with the Puketutu Island Governance Trust.
